To introduce an integrated e-ticketing system (One Card for All Transport) and facilitate fare collection, the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) has introduced the smart card Rapid Pass. With technical assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a Clearing House has been established at DTCA to implement the Automatic Fare Collection System and integrate fare collection systems.

DTCA is taking initiatives to implement the RAPID PASS system for seamless and uninterrupted travel across various public transport services, including metro rail, bus rapid transit, Bangladesh Railway, BIWTC vessels, and government and private bus services. To achieve this goal, DTCA has undertaken the Establishment of Clearing House for Integrating Transport Ticketing System in Dhaka City and Adjacent Districts (Phase-II) project.
